Jake Donaldson.

Jake Donaldson is a rising star of the UK comedy circuit, known for his sharp wit, intelligent humour, and warm storytelling. He was a finalist in the BBC New Comedy Award 2024 (broadcast on BBC1), and a semi-finalist in British Comedian of the Year 2024.

Jake’s comedy blends relatable personal experiences with a unique perspective shaped by his background as a visually impaired person from the North of England. His debut solo hour “Neurotica”, available on streaming platform NextUp Comedy, earned rave reviews for its combination of insightful observational comedy and quick-fire punchlines. In 2024 Jake was selected to be one of five comics to perform at Edinburgh TV Festival’s first ever Stand-Up Showcase, and that year he also performed a full run of a solo show at the Edinburgh Fringe which was critically acclaimed with several five and four star reviews, as well as nominations for two Neurodiverse Review awards. Jake has performed across the country, honing his craft at renowned clubs all over the UK, and has built a dedicated following through his work as a Director of comedy co-operative “Felt Nowt”.

His style is thoughtful yet playful, often exploring themes of mental health, relationships, and the quirks of modern life with an authentic Northern charm. In addition to stand-up, Jake is an accomplished comedy writer, and is currently working with a production company on several TV development projects.
